Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Akmo Solutions Private Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. They apply when you use Akmo Invoice on the web, on Android or on a computer. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

Akmo Invoice is a free tool for preparing GST invoices and related documents. It runs on your device. Sign-in uses Firebase Authentication, sync uses your own Google Drive, and support uses our own servers. Akmo is free today. If we ever offer paid plans, they will have their own terms, and we will never charge you without your agreement.

By agreeing to these terms you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you use Akmo for your business or work. If you add staff profiles to your account, you are responsible for what they do in it.

You are responsible for the documents you issue and for your tax filings. The app's tax calculations, reminders and reports are aids, not tax advice: check them with your accountant before you rely on them.

You own your data. It lives on your device and in your Drive, and we cannot recover it for you. Keep Drive sync on, or take regular backups. You can export your data at any time, even when a feature is paused or your account is closed.

• Do not issue false or misleading documents.
• Do not use the app to break the law.
• Do not interfere with the service, with other users or with Google's services.
• Do not send abusive messages to our support team.

Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. Your use of Google services is also covered by Google's terms.

We update the app to fix problems and add features. We may pause a feature for a while, or ask you to update an old version, when that protects your data. Export, backup, sign-out and account deletion always stay available.

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits.

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend sign-in for an account that misuses the service. Even then, you can still export your data and take a backup.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, have jurisdiction.

When we change these terms in an important way, we tell you in the app 30 days before the change takes effect and show you what changed. From that date we ask you to agree. If you do not agree, the app stays open read-only for 30 days so you can view, export and back up your data; after that, only export, backup, sign-out and account deletion remain. You can agree at any time to restore everything.
